Our accreditation to award associate degrees comes from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), and it’s an important part of who we are as a college.

Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate degrees. Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. Physical Therapist Assistant:

Respiratory Care Advanced Practice:

Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) accredits respiratory therapy education programs in the United States. To achieve this end, it utilizes an ‘outcomes based’ process. Programmatic outcomes are performance indicators that reflect the extent to which the educational goals of the program are achieved and by which program effectiveness is documented.

  • Both Respiratory Care programs (Whitesburg and Pineville) at SKCTC are fully (but separately) accredited by The Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
    • The Whitesburg Respiratory Care program at SKCTC is program number 200624.
    • The Pineville Respiratory Care program at SKCTC is program number 200400.
