Counseling

The Academic Counseling and Assessment Offices strives to assist students in making a smooth transition to college life by providing quality academic advisement, transfer information, career counseling, and testing services. Their goal is to provide thorough and current information about Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College, it's programs, and its services. The Academic Counseling and Assessment Offices are located on the Cumberland, Middlesboro, and Whitesburg Campuses

The Academic Counselor's Office provides services that will assist a student with their career decisions. These services include assessment tools and counseling to help facilitate personal growth in career development.

Four aspects of career development must be accomplished and/or completed before one obtains the right job in life: Perception, Planning, Pursuit, and Promotion. The student will have the opportunity to explore each of these four areas through workshops and visits with the academic/career counselor.
