Alumnus brings work to Appalachian Center Gallery
An exhibition of art entitled East of Eden created by Jim Ferguson, award-wining artist and educator from Nashville who is an alumnus of Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College, opened recently in the gallery of the Godbey Appalachian Center. The exhibition, slated to run through September, features sketches, studies and paintings of Ferguson who taught for over 40 years. A native of Harlan, he graduated from Southeast in 1966. The exhibition officially marks the beginning of the college s 50th anniversary celebration; events are slated throughout the academic year.
