Graduation 2010 | A Southeast Celebration!
The 45th commencement and awarding of credentials for Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College was held May 14 at the Harlan County High School with over 400 students receiving degrees and diplomas. The students represented each of the college s five campuses located at Cumberland, Whitesburg, Pineville, Middlesboro and Harlan. Jerry W. Haynes, president and CEO of Appalachian Regional Healthcare, delivered the keynote address. During the ceremony, special remarks were also given by SKCTC President Dr. W. Bruce Ayers, Brooke L. Sergent, Reecie Stagnolia, Gregory York, Dr. Wheeler Conover and Amy Simpson. The 2010 President s Service Award honoree was Maynard Hogg of Letcher County. He was honored for his support and service to the college. He played a key role in the acquisition and development of the campus at Whitesburg.
