AHEC Health Career Expo held at Harlan Center

The annual AHEC Health Career Expo was held recently at the Harlan Center with over 600 local high school and area technology center students taking part in the day-long event. Students had the opportunity to learn firsthand about careers within the health care industry; they represented the counties of Harlan, Bell, Letcher and Leslie. Various exhibits viewed by the students included those sponsored and manned by Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College, Union College, East Tennessee State, the University of the Cumberlands, Lincoln Memorial University, Lindsey Wilson and the University of Louisville.

The event was sponsored by Southeast AHEC, Harlan ARH, the University of Kentucky and SKCTC.
