2015 STEM Camp | SKCTC

Career Craze camps are popular

The third Career Craze Summer Camp sponsored by the Kentucky Community and Technical College System and Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College was held recently on the Cumberland campus as area youth participated in the thee-day event. The emphasis of the camp, for students ages 12-15, focused on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineer and Mathematics), related projects. Students also took field trips to associated businesses. The camp was conducted on each of the SKCTC five sites and involved students from middle schools in Letcher, Harlan and Bell counties. Funding for the program is made possible through the Carl D. Perkins Leadership Funds managed by the Data and Return on Investment Branch within the Office of Career and Technical Education. College faculty and staff served as facilitators.
