Anna Jo Creech of Cumberland was chosen the winner of the 2014 Miss Southeast Pageant
held in the Edsel Godbey Appalachian Center located on the Cumberland campus of SKCTC.
Creech, a freshman, will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship and will represent the school
at the Kentucky Mountain Laurel Festival. Brooklyhn Woods of Lynch was first runner
up, with Jessica Garland finishing as second runner up. Here, Creech is crowned by
Dr. Lynn Moore, president of Southeast, and assisting was Bell County native Mackenzie
Belle Day, Miss Southeast for 2013. Also, long-time master of ceremonies Carlton W.
Hughes introduced the contestants to the large audience during the opening segment
of the competition.
