History coming to life

Haley McCoy of Kentucky Chautauqua, an exclusive presentation of the Kentucky Humanities Council, recently performed before junior high school students at the Middlesboro Central Auditorium. She portrayed Anna Mac Clarke, military pioneer, civil rights activist and native Kentuckian. The event was sponsored by Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College and held in celebration of Black History Month. SKCTC, through its department of diversity and inclusion and headed by Carolyn Sundy, has held three events during the month.
