Higher Ground enjoys successful run

The community play Higher Ground 3: Talking Dirt ended its six-performance run May 8 in the Godbey Appalachian Center on the SKCTC Cumberland campus. The show was produced through a collaboration between the college and the Carpetbag Theater, Inc. of Knoxville, and featured performances by 75 local actors, dancers and musicians. The show played to large and enthusiastic crowds during its run according to the producer Robert Gipe, attracting well over 1,000 people.
