
Andrea “Lee” Harrison, Ed.D.
Dr. Andrea “Lee” Harrison has over 30 years of experience in higher education, including
leadership roles in advancement, enrollment, student success, communications, and
instruction. She currently serves as the chief advancement officer and dean of advancement
and public relations at Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College, where
she also directs the Southeast Education Foundation. In these roles, she manages institutional
fundraising, strategic communications, and community engagement, and oversees a portfolio
of grants totaling $11 million.
Prior to joining SKCTC, Dr. Harrison spent over two decades at Milligan University in a range of executive leadership and academic roles, including vice president for enrollment and marketing and associate professor of communications. Her work there included enrollment and student success planning, program development, strategic planning, internal and external communications, and participation in multiple accreditation processes. She also served as vice president for partner services at Clark Higher Ed, where she supported enrollment strategy and digital marketing efforts for colleges and universities across multiple states, including data analysis and lead generation.
She is a passionate advocate for the Appalachian region and has served on various community boards and has been involved in regional workforce and economic development efforts. She currently serves on the Benham Schoolhouse Inn Board, One Harlan County board, and the Harlan Cub Scout Pack 149 Committee, plus volunteer roles with Tri-Cities Main Street and the Southeast Kentucky Hiking Club.
Dr. Harrison holds an Ed.D. in higher education leadership and an M.A. in organizational communication from Regent University, and a B.S. in communication from Milligan University. She has completed additional executive education programs at institutions such as Vanderbilt University, Bryn Mawr College, and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
