Taylyn Geneil Combs of Isom awarded the honor of being Miss Southeast 2012

The annual Miss Southeast Scholarship Pageant was held Feb. 4 in the Edsel Godbey Appalachian Center located on the SKCTC Cumberland campus as five contestants competed for the title. Crowned Miss Southeast for 2012 was Taylyn Geneil Combs of Isom, with Abbey Brooke Abraham of Harlan named first runner-up; second runner-up was Erica Katelyn Venable of Pineville. Combs also won the Best Talent Award while Rebecca Meyers of Middlesboro was named Miss Congeniality. Combs will represent Southeast at the Kentucky Mountain Laurel Festival and will receive a $1,000 scholarship.
