
Students, faculty and staff of Southeast celebrated its 17th annual honors day program
The Great Room of the Benham Inn was filled to capacity Thursday evening as students, faculty and staff of Southeast Kentucky Community amp; Technical College, along with a good showing of proud parents, attended the colleges 17th Annual Honors Day program. Here are some images from the night..
The programs biggest awards were presented to the Outstanding Freshman and Outstanding Sophomore of the Year. Katie Watts, of Lynch, (left) was the Freshman recipient, and Candace Boggs, of Benham, was the Sophomore recipient. The two are pictured with SKCTC Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. Wheeler Conover.
Dr. Conover praised Chemistry instructor Ramone Cuellar for the high number of students being honored in his classes and for the high number of students from his classes being accepted to Pharmacy School.
Nursing instructor Scott Blanton gave one of his honorees a hug.
Nursing student Jessica Brittain had her young son to accept her award when her name was called. The award was presented by Ellen Saylor.
Roland Cornett presented Scholarships with assistance from Erin Wilson.
