Southeasts Phi Theta Kappa induction ceremony held

The yearly induction ceremony for new members of Phi Theta Kappa Xi Sigma chapter of Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College was held recently in the Edsel Godbey Appalachian Center on the Cumberland campus. Over 60 students, representing each of the SKCTC campuses, were ushered into the esteemed national honorary during a formal ceremony. Dr. Lynn Moore, president of the college, was the keynote speaker. During the service the new members participated in a candle lighting ritual and took a pledge to honor the standards of the organization. To become a member of Phi Theta Kappa, individuals must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and have completed 20 hours of study.
