PUBLIC NOTICE OF UPCOMING ACCREDITATION REVIEW VISIT BY THE NLNAC January 25, 2012

The Academic Career Mobility Nursing Program of Southeast Kentucky Community amp; Technical College will welcome an accrediting team representing the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission.

Team members are to conduct a three-day visit beginning Jan. 24 where they will meet with SKCTC faculty, staff and administration. Evaluators will work to appraise the qualities of the nursing program which has educated and prepared nurses for service in the region and beyond since the 1960s.

The visit is to commence Tuesday, Jan. 24 as evaluators meet with and interviews members of the college community. The agency, NLNAC, grants accrediting status usually for a period of five years.

On the evening of Jan. 25 beginning at 5, a public meeting will be held in the conference room at the Harlan campus at which time members of the community are urged to attend and express their opinions regarding the program as operated by SKCTC.

The visit concludes Jan. 26 at the Harlan campus with an exit meeting for nursing faculty, staff and administration.
