New E-mail enhancements for students are coming to Southeast on July 16, 2012
Southeast is Upgrading Student Email!
In order to better serve you, Southeast is changing email services to Microsoft 365 for Education. On July 16, 2012, Southeast student mailboxes will be moved to 365. You may experience some email issuesas Southeast makes the changes.
Accessing Your Email
Starting on July 16, you may access your email account by clicking on the Email link at the top of the college website and choosing Student Email on the following page or visit https://outlook.com/kctcs.edu.
Mailbox Size has Increased
Your mailbox size has increased! After the upgrade, your email will hold up to 1 GB of storage.Before your storage space reaches its limit, you will receive a warning that the mailbox is almost full at 900 MB. You will beprohibited from sending messages when 950 MB is reached. At 1 GB, you will be prohibited from sending and receiving email.
Mobile Setup
If your phone has been set to sync with the previous KCTCS email system prior to the upgrade, you will now need to set up yourmobile device to work with 365. The directions can be found at http://www.kctcs.edu/email/FAQs.
Password Reset
Your password must be changed via KCTCS User Account Center. You will need to know your student id number to use the User Account Center. Attempting to change your password through your mailbox will fail. For more information, visit http://www.kctcs.edu/email/FAQs.
