Local Consultant Inducted into Million Dollar Loan Club

The Kentucky Small Business Development Center (KSBDC) inducted Sam Coleman, Director of the Southeast SBDC, into its 2010 Million Dollar Loan Club. The Million Dollar Loan Club is exclusive to KSBDC management consultants who help small business clients secure more than a million dollars of loans to start, purchase and expand their businesses. Across the Commonwealth, KSBDC consultants helped small businesses secure nearly $65 million in loans during FY 2009-2010. Including Coleman, thirteen consultants were inducted.

It is an honor to have these consultants reach this milestone especially during a year of economic uncertainty, said Becky Naugle, Ph.D., KSBDC State Director. Helping our clients secure capital is one of our primary services and extremely vital to the growth and success of small businesses.

The Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College SBDC serves Bell, Clay, Harlan, Knox, Leslie, Letcher and Perry counties and is a part of the Kentucky Small Business Development Center. KSBDC is a network of 16 offices located throughout the Commonwealth that help start-up and existing businesses succeed by offering high quality, in-depth and hands-on services. These services include: no-cost confidential business consultations, affordable business workshops and seminars, research to make informed business decisions and valuable resources.
