Carlton HughesThe Barnes and Noble Bookstore on the Cumberland campus of Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College will host a book signing on Friday, Feb. 7 for Professor Carlton W. Hughes, who will be signing copies of Chicken Soup for the Soul: the Dating Game. The event will take place from noon to 1 p.m. at the store in Falkenstine Hall.

Hughes story in the collection, Grocery Store Cupid, details how he and his wife Kathy met. According to the publisher, The Dating Game is a fun new book about dating - whether it sparked a lifelong love or a laugh with friends - that will give you a boost as you search for your soul mate; read about how couples met, good and bad dates, maintaining the relationship, second chances, the Internet, and all the other ups and downs of dating, love, and romance.

Hughes chronicle was selected from hundreds of submissions for this new compilation. The numerous titles in the Chicken Soup for the Soul brand have sold over 112 million copies in North America alone. The books, popular for their messages of inspiration, are published by Simon and Schuster, Inc., and edited by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen and Amy Newmark.

Books will be available for purchase at a discounted rate, and copies of Simple Little Words, a previously-released book featuring an essay by Hughes, will also be offered in a special deal while supplies last.
