Celebrated business specialist, entrepreneur and author John L. Herman, Jr., was the speaker recently for a seminar sponsored by the Small Business Development Center of Southeast Kentucky Community amp; Technical College.

The session was held at the Black Technology Center located on the campus of Union College in Barbourville with a gathering of area business people and hopeful business owners taking part.

Herman, the author of two books: The Innkeeper Tales and Hermanisms: Axioms for Business and Life, educated and captivated the assembly as he worked to show what really happens within the business world and how individuals can often achieve completely what they desire. He also stressed how one can learn valuable lessons when something goes awry and to come to the realization that failure is sometimes a good thing.

Samuel Coleman, who heads the Small Business Development Center operated by Southeast Kentucky Community amp; Technical College, lauded the appearance by Herman.

We were truly honored to have a business expert with the background and history of John L. Herman come to the area to speak with us, said Coleman. The event was well attended and provided those in attendance with much information, keen ideas -- all presented in a unique and entertaining style.

Coleman went further to make known how the Kentucky Small Business Development Centers are offering entrepreneurs, managers, employees and individuals considering business ownership with opportunities to receive training, anytime and anywhere.
