What is Industrial Maintenance Technology?

Companies are looking for maintenance technicians who have an understanding of all the technical fields needed to spot and to correct problems which constantly happen in industry. The Industrial Maintenance Technology Program trains you to maintain equipment, buildings, and industrial structures. Learn about machine tools, welding, and industrial mechanical drive systems. Develop skills in the use of testing equipment, precision measuring instruments, as well as electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic processes applicable to industry machinery. Today s fast-paced workplace requires a maintenance technician to make decisions about the workings and repair of manufacturing systems and to constantly learn and apply new information and techniques. You'll be trained to hold positions in such places as factories, hospitals, hotels, construction sites where multi-skilled maintenance personnel are needed.

Length of Program

You can earn an associate in applied science degree in two years if you maintain full-time status.
