If it wasn’t for Southeast, I would’ve ended up doing something I would’ve settled for.

Student of the Month
Leslie Warren - March 2026 Student of the Month

We are proud to recognize Leslie Warren as the March Student of the Month.
Leslie is pursuing an associate in arts degree at Southeast and plans to transfer to the University of the Cumberlands to study social work. Her goal is simple but powerful: to help others who are struggling find guidance, encouragement and support.
Through her coursework, Leslie has combined lived experience with new knowledge and skills, building confidence along the way. She earned an A in one of her first classes, Introduction to Computers, setting the tone for her journey at Southeast.
Balancing full-time work, a full-time course load and family life has not been easy. Leslie credits the support of her loved ones, faculty and campus resources for helping her stay on track. She has been invited to join Phi Theta Kappa, is active in community service through her work in substance use disorder treatment and recently earned a recovery coach certificate.
Leslie says Southeast gave her the foundation she needed to succeed as a student again, and it opened the door to a future she once thought was out of reach.
