Southeast to host 65th anniversary banquet

Published on Nov 4, 2025

A special banquet will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at the Harlan Center to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College’s founding.

The event will honor the college’s legacy and its impact on education and opportunity across southeastern Kentucky.

“This milestone is more than a celebration — it’s a tribute to the generations of students, faculty and community partners who have made Southeast a cornerstone of opportunity,” said Dr. Lee Harrison, president of Southeast. “We invite everyone to join us as we reflect on our past and look forward to an even brighter future for our region.”

There is no cost to attend, but guests are asked to bring a nonperishable food item to support Southeast’s student food pantries. Reservations are required.

To reserve a seat, RSVP to Tiffany Hampton at 606.589.3083 or thampton0059@kctcs.edu.
