Message from the President - 4/24/2020

Dear Southeast Family,

Once again, I want to thank each and every one of you for staying the course. This pandemic is unlike anything we have ever had to deal with, and I know that many of you are facing multiple challenges at once. Remember that you are not alone, and do not hesitate to reach out for help if you need it.

At this time, all Southeast employees will continue working and teaching remotely until May 18.  This return date could possibly be extended pending recommendations from Gov. Beshear.

The cabinet and I are developing a plan for our gradual return to campus, which will be done in phases. When those plans are ready, they will be shared with you.

In partnership with our System’s Office and fellow institutions, we continue to monitor information from state and federal agencies to make the best decision possible for everyone.

I want take this opportunity to remind you, if you haven’t already done so, to complete your 2020 Census form. Either fill out your paper copy and return it, or click the link to complete it online. It is more important than ever to stand up and be counted. Not only is this our legal obligation, but it will ensure that our counties have adequate federal funding as we work to rebuild our economy once stay-at-home mandates have lifted.

Thank you again for all that you do. Please continue to share any pictures or posts you have about working and studying from home. And if I can help you in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Warmest regards,

SignatureDr. Vic Adams, President/CEO
