Message from the president (1/7/2021)

Happy New Year and Welcome Back!

Our spring semester will begin Monday, January 11th.  We have definitely grown to become a stronger, more resilient college having had to navigate the uncharted territory of the pandemic, and I believe we have emerged better than ever. I anticipate that the spring semester will been even more rewarding in light of what we have learned from these experiences.

Students will soon receive emails from each of their instructors outlining the plan for attendance in face-to-face and hybrid classes.  Due to the pandemic, most of our classes will be virtual during the first three weeks.  Our health and technical programs will likely have exceptions, and Workforce Development will still operate with small class sizes while observing all protocols.

Since Monday, January 4, we have staffed our campuses on a rotating basis at levels similar to what we had just prior to the break. However, we will continue to monitor these levels and increase them if necessary in order to meet our students’ needs.

In order to give our students the best service possible, we have staff in place to advise, register, and offer business office services. Our testing centers will remain open to test potential students.  Maintenance staff will continue to sanitize our campuses in order to keep our students and employees safe and healthy.  Employees not on campus will be in work-from-home status. They are logged in to their phones and available to serve students.

No matter the circumstances, Southeast will continue to work hard to give our students a quality, affordable education in their own backyards. Our students have come to expect nothing less than our best.

Warmest regards,

Dr. Vic Adams signature.
