Admission Procedures

  • You should write or call the admissions office of the Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College  to attend and request an application form.
  • Your full and proper name and Social Security or college-assigned number must be used in registering and for all other official purposes.
  • If you are entering a college for the first time you should ask their high school principal or counselor to send a copy of your high school record to the admissions office of the college.
  • If you have taken the GED you should have your GED Score Report sent to the admissions office.
  • If you are entering with advanced standing you should have an official transcript from each college attended forwarded to the admissions office. Courses in progress should be listed even though grades are not available.
  • You should submit results of your American College Test (ACT) or COMPASS.
  • If you are seeking admission to a technical program contact the Admissions Office for information regarding any special requirements for admission. This should be done well in advance of the beginning of the semester in which the student plans to enroll. In most instances, this should be done at least six months in advance.
  • You must file an application for admission, the entering student survey, and supporting documents prior to the first day of classes of the term or session for which you plans to enroll. Some colleges, however, may have an earlier date. You should check with the admissions office at Southeast for registration/application deadlines.
  • After receiving the completed application and other forms, the admissions office will notify you of your admissions status.
  • You are required to take the ACT or Compass Test contact the Admissions office for test dates, 606-589-2145 prior to enrollment at Southeast.
