SKCTC Whitesburg stages celebration of Women’s History Month

In celebration of Women’s History Month, Professor Peggy Conklin’s History of Women in America class at Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College, Whitesburg campus, presented an original theatrical presentation, “We Are the Women!” Narrated by Conklin, the program included students depicting women from American History.

Higher Ground 5: Find A Way, an original dramatic musical about telling the truth and finding a way to move forward as a county, opens Thursday, April 9th at 7:30 PM in the Nicey and Alice Hazen Theater in the Godbey Appalachian Center on Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College’s Cumberland Campus.

Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College hosted the Harlan County Science Fair for fifth grade students. The event was held March 27 on the Harlan campus and was directed by SKCTC Professor Rhonda Creech who leads the college’s Natural Science and Mathematics Division.
