Community Garden Project created by SKCTC and students from Arlie Boggs Elementary

Students from Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College and pupils attending Arlie Boggs Elementary School in Eolia, have come together to plant vegetable seeds as part of a community garden project implemented by the college’s Sustainability Committee. Recently, SKCTC students in biology classes taught by Elana Scopa and Mathew Druen have worked with Arlie Boggs’ teacher Harry Collins, elementary students and the school’s PTO President Tiffany Scott to plant seeds which will be grown in the green house at Arlie Boggs and later placed into local gardens.
