Free Application for Student Aid

If you want to be considered for need based financial assistance, you will need to complete and submit the FAFSA. All students are encouraged to apply for financial assistance as soon after January 1 as possible, and before the priority filing date of March 15.

Application forms are available at all Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College financial aid offices and high school counseling offices. You may also complete a form at the following web address http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/

The process of filling out the FAFSA has been simplified.  You can follow each section all the way through for a comprehensive set of instructions.

  • Get Organized – To simplify the application process, gather required documents and other information ahead of time.
  • Fill out the application – The FAFSA contains questions that ask about you, your financial information, your school plans, and more.
  • View your results online – You can check the status of your application, make corrections to a processed FAFSA, and get other information.
