The Southeast Scholars Program of Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College recently conducted a summer camp session on the Cumberland campus with 30 youth participating.

The program, according to its director Sandra Brown, works to identify students in the sixth grade and provides programming through their senior year of high school. If students complete the program, they are eligible for assistance with tuition and books to attend SKCTC. During the past year, students were offered a total of 17 workshops encompassing various academic and life skills topics while also taking part in three community service projects.Southeast scholar students in a group
